Tips for Microsoft Word
Make
your Microsoft Word 2000 text stand out
1. In Microsoft Word, select the
text to be underlined then right-click and select "Font" (or select
Format, then Font on the toolbar). Underneath the "Underline
Style" pulldown, select your desired underline type. You can use a solid
line, dashes, waves, and more. Plus, underneath "Underline Color" you
can make underlines in a different color than the normal text color. Check out
the "Preview" section to see how your underline will look. When
you are done, press "OK" to close the dialog box.
2. Or…if you are making a
worksheet with items for the student to correct (i.e. irregular verbs), then
highlight the text, on the toolbar, select Format, Font.
In the dialog box, click on the texts effect tab, highlight the effect
you want, then click OK.

4. Make the Microsoft Word 2000 toolbar icons easier to see. Are the toolbar icons in Microsoft Word 2000 too small for your students? Make them much easier to see. Click on the "Tools" menu and choose "Customize". On the multi-tabbed dialog box that follows, select the "Options" tab. Check "Large icons" under "Other" and press "Close".

Voice Change
What
to have some fun? Use this handy
tool for therapy! It’s a small
program you will not have to install. It
can just sit on your desktop. When
you talk into a microphone, it changes the pitch of your voice.
You may want to turn the volume down, as it is a second behind and may be
difficult with the echo. OR, you
can turn the volume off, record, and then listen.
The voice clip is saved as a wave file on your desktop.
Change the numbers to change the pitch.
